Literature Text

'Twas nighttime, and the fizzles thrown
Across the sky aimed to amaze.
They made their luminescence known
In periwinkle light displays.

I watched the jellyfish, they stung
My eyes with their unearthly glow,
And sang the songs, of yet unsung,
To those who sat in muck below.

A Jabberwock, with eyes aflame,
A lonely lover, lost at sea,
Each burst unique, a glimpse of fame,
My world is just the sky and me.

And hast thy wonder finally ceased?
I'm discombobulated now.
I'd like another show, at least
I think I would... I wonder how.
Another creative writing prompt, courtesy of the poetry club at my school. For this one, my poem had to have the following words (in no particular order): fizzle, luminescence, periwinkle, jellyfish, muck, Jabberwock, unique, wonder, discombobulated, think.

Also, the style is based on the poem "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll.
